Business Backup & Data Protection — Sleep Soundly

Data loss is a business-ending event. Axio Networks manages your backup infrastructure, monitors it daily, and tests restores so you know your data is actually recoverable.

A Backup You Have Never Restored Is a Guess

Almost every business believes it has backups. Far fewer can say when the last successful restore was tested, whether the backup includes Microsoft 365 email and OneDrive, or whether a ransomware attacker with admin credentials could delete the backup along with everything else. Those are the questions that decide whether an incident costs a few hours or a few months.

Axio Networks designs, runs and tests backup systems for Scottsdale businesses so the answer to “can we recover?” is documented, not hoped for. Local and cloud copies, immutable retention, coverage for servers, workstations and Microsoft 365, and restore tests you can show your insurer — all monitored daily by engineers who own the outcome.

What's Included with Backup System Management

Automated & Reliable Backups

Backups run on schedule without manual intervention — configured for your RPO requirements and retention policies.

3-2-1 Backup Strategy

Three copies of your data, on two different media types, with one stored offsite or in the cloud for true disaster protection.

Tested & Verified Restores

We regularly test restores so you know your backups actually work before you ever need them in an emergency.

Microsoft 365 Backup

Exchange mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams data are backed up independently of Microsoft, protecting against accidental deletion, malicious insiders and retention gaps Microsoft does not cover.

Immutable & Off-Site Copies

Backup data is stored in write-once form that cannot be altered or deleted for the retention period, with an off-site copy so a fire, theft or ransomware event cannot take out the originals and the backups together.

Scheduled Restore Testing

We restore files, mailboxes and full systems on a schedule and record the results, so recovery time is measured rather than assumed — and problems are found before you need the backup.

How Axio Networks Backup Management Works

1

Assess what matters

We inventory servers, workstations, cloud services and line-of-business applications and set recovery objectives (RPO/RTO) for each.

2

Design the strategy

Local-plus-cloud backup with immutability and retention matched to your compliance and insurance requirements.

3

Deploy and monitor

Backups run automatically; every job is monitored daily and failures are fixed by our team, not left in an unread email.

4

Test and report

Restore tests run on a schedule and results are included in your monthly report with proof of recoverability.

Why Scottsdale Businesses Choose Axio Networks for Backup Systems

Ransomware-aware by design. Immutable storage, separate credentials and off-site copies mean a compromised admin account cannot destroy your recovery path — the failure mode behind most catastrophic ransomware losses.

Daily human monitoring. Backup jobs fail quietly. Axio Networks engineers review every client’s backup status each business day and resolve failures the same day.

Proof for auditors and insurers. Test-restore records and retention documentation satisfy HIPAA, PCI and the FTC Safeguards Rule and answer the backup questions on every cyber-insurance application.

Part of complete managed IT. Backup is included in Axio Networks managed IT plans alongside monitoring, patching, help desk and security — one team responsible for prevention and recovery.

Backup Systems FAQs

File-level restores are tested monthly and full-system recovery of critical servers is tested at least quarterly, with results documented in your monthly report. Backup job success is monitored every business day.

Microsoft keeps your data available but its retention is limited and it does not protect against deletion, ransomware encryption or a departed employee purging files. Microsoft itself recommends third-party backup, which is why it is part of every Axio Networks backup plan.

Standard retention is 90 days of daily recovery points with monthly points kept for a year; longer retention is configured for businesses with regulatory requirements.

With immutable backups in place, individual files and mailboxes are typically restored within hours and full servers within the same business day, depending on size. Recovery objectives are agreed up front and tested.

Workstation, server and Microsoft 365 backup is included in Axio Networks managed IT plans. Standalone backup management is also available for businesses that manage the rest of their IT in-house.
